The climate in the Holy Land is reasonably predictable and seasonal. Summers can get hot, especially in the months of July and August, and it become quite chilly in winter, particularly in the northern hills. Snow occasionally falls on the hills and Mount Hermon in the north turns into a ski resort in the winter, but is often more sunny than cloudy. Jerusalem summers, although hot in the daytime, are fairly cool at night requiring a sweater.
The current currency in the Holy Land is Israeli Shekel. Most stores and hotels also accept US dollars, as well as other foreign currencies. Cash and traveler’s checks are always recommended. Credit cards are also a good exchange media, and more often that expected, personal checks may be accepted. Money can be exchange at banks, money changers, or hotels.
Tourist are required to hold valid passports. Entry visas are granted free of charge at port of entry to citizens of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, U.S.A, and all western European countries.
The Holy Land is 2 hours ahead of GMT. The area also uses daylight saving with similar dates as those in Europe.
The electric current is alternating current (AC), 220 Volts, single phases 50 Hertz.
When visiting the Holy Land, two sets of clothing be taken. Conservative attire should be worn when visiting religious shrine areas. For women and men, shorts are not acceptable at these sites. Women should wear skirts or pants. Tank tops are also not recommended. Traditional western clothing is appropriate in the middle East.
General Tour Conditions
The following conditions apply on all tours, unless stated otherwise, at the end of the particular itinerary.
Accommodation in twin rooms with bath or shower in the category chosen. Single room occupancy available at extra charge.
All programs are based on half board (breakfast and dinner) daily, plus lunches on route whenever necessary. Programs on full board basis can be arranged on request.
All transportation will be supplied by new air-conditioned coaches in summer and heated in winter, or by Mercedes limousines for individuals up to seven passengers.
All tours and excursions featured in the individual itinerary. Multilingual local guide will accompany the tour from arrival until departure.
As imposed by the local authorities, are included on standard services shown in the itinerary.
Passport and visa fees and items of personal nature are not included. Tips to guide, driver, and hotel staff are left to your discretion at the time of services rendered.
All tour arrangements are made by us as Agent only, and we will in no event, be liable for acts or defaults of any carrier, hotels or employees of such contracts, in performing the services for which ticket or exchange orders are issued.
All cancellations for groups and individuals should reach our office at least 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival, otherwise, client will be liable for the payment of the cancellation fees.
Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit of not less than 10% of the cost of the services, should be submitted four weeks prior to arrival of group or individual, and full payment made 15 days before starting the services. Payments must be effected and certified by checks, banks checks or bank transfers.
Reservation & Confirmation
To enable us to handle your requirement efficiently, complete details are necessary, such as complete flight schedule, name of hotel preferred, number of passengers and names list whenever available. Normally confirmation, suggestions and tour planning are faxed within 72 hours after receipt of the request.
