Christian’s Of Many Denominations Unite To Pray In Israel
- Unite & Pray
- Christian’s Pray The Rosary Together
- One Faith
Yesterday began the “Week Of Prayer For Christian Unity” in Jerusalem. This prayer week was started with a group effort between the Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and Protestant churches and has grown to include many Christian denominations and non-denominational Christian churches.
The past has brought much hostility and argument about doctrine, proper Christian practices, and worship style. However, things are changing in the Christian community and believers are uniting to pray for and focus on unification and truly becoming one body in Christ.
Prayer Unites Believers
The “Week Of Prayer For Christian Unity” event meets at a different church or venue daily to pray for unification. This group decided to focus on Jerusalem as the location of this unity prayer week because this is the place Jesus initially prayed for unification of believers over 2000 years ago.
